Desuperheaters enable to reduce and maintain the temperature of a superheated steam. They are usually used for technical reasons when high temperatures must be avoided and a saturated steam is required.

We design two different types of desuperheaters:

Spraying nozzle desuperheaters allow injecting, through one or several spraying nozzles, the necessary quantity of water for desuperheating.

This injection is done directly in the piping through a simple nozzle.

These spraying nozzle desuperheaters can be controlled by water valve enslaved by a thermometer measuring the temperature downstream.

We also design venturi desuperheaters in which the steam is accelerated and the water injected.

These desuperheaters allow a wider operating range.
